EXHAUST BACK PRESSURE
« on: September 16, 2005, 07:58:13 AM »
WHY WOULD A 2002 7.3 READ TO MUCH BACK PRESSURE WHEN THE EXHAUST IS STRAIGHT PIPE FROM THE DOWN TUBE BACK

PS AND IS THE CAM POSITION SENSOR SOME THING THAT GOES OOOUT REGULARLY

the ex back pressure sensor is bad if you have a straight pipe & cam sensors do go out sometimes and more then others.

Anyone owning a ford power stroke 7.3 should always carry a spare cam sensor in the glove box. Even if you warranty on it has been done. Oh and dont forget the 10 mm quick wrench to help with r and r. Probably old news but national recall on cam sensors. Check with your dealer.
